Development Board PIC System Key Features Compatible with upstream PIC Boards Overvoltage protected Low cost Flowcode macros Code Description This flexible combination board is an ideal platform for learning and project development. The board will work with flowcode, C or assembly code allowing multiple technologies to be explored using a single downstream board. The board is ideal for using in conjunction with our CD ROM resources to help learn programming using flow charts, C or assembly code.  These bundles of Software/hardware each include a device programmer board and application file, as well as software for learning about and developing electronic systems. These combinations of Flowcode Software /hardware each include a device programmer board and a number of application files which can be used to get your electronics design off the ground in record time. Other Boards can be added as your design progresses. This bundles is made available at a considerable discount to the sum of the parts. These bundles of Software/Courseware and hardware each include a device programmer board and a number of application, as well as software for learning about and developing electronic systems. These bundles are designed with 'technology transfer' in mind. They are suitable for student and engineers who need to rapidly develop electronic systems based on the technology in question. The bundles include the appropriate hardware circuits which are complimented by the appropriate software ‘drivers’ included in Flowcode. All circuit diagrams are provided in the hardware data sheets enabling engineers to easily develop fully functioning circuit boards. Quick start manuals and sample programs are available for each bundle. It starts with fundamental concepts and extends up to complex programs including watchdog timers, interrupts and sleep modes. The CD makes use of the latest simulation techniques which provide a superb tool for learning: the Virtual PICmicro microcontroller. This is a simulation tool that allows users to write and execute assembly code for the PIC16F84 microcontroller on-screen. Using this students can actually see what happens inside the PICmicro microcontroller as each instruction is executed. This enhances understanding and retains student interest. This new version includes information on A/D conversion, and is compatible with the 16F84, 16F88, and 16F877A devices Flowcode - Electronic system design software CD Flowcode software allows you to quickly and easily develop complex electronic and electromechanical systems. The graphical programming tool allows even those with little experience to develop complex electronic systems in minutes. Flowcode is one of the world’s most advanced environments for electronic and electromechanical system development. Engineers use Flowcode to develop systems for control and measurement based on microcontrollers, on rugged industrial interfaces or on Windows compatible personal computers. Graphical programming Flowcode uses graphical icons to enable you to quickly develop electronic systems. The easy-to-use interface means those with little experience of programming are able to pick up the fundamentals quickly. The speed of development gives experienced users a fast and proven way to develop their projects. Test & debug code Once you have developed your program, the powerful environment gives you the ability to make use of the embedded in-circuit-test (ICT) and in-circuit-debug (ICD) features. These key features give you the confidence you need to ensure the programs you have produced will be effective when compiled to chosen devices. C programming for the PICmicro microcontroller CD Key Features Includes a new version of our C compiler and IDE New analogue sections Compatible with most PICmicro programmers Highly interactive  C for  PIC micro MCUs     Description This CD ROM - written by David and Rob Miles of Durham and Hull Universities - provides you with a complete solution to teaching and learning C programming for the PICmicro microcontroller. The course is structured in two parts: firstly students are taken through the fundamentals of C programming in a series of on-screen tutorials that makes use of our virtual microcontroller to explain to students how C works. This well proven methodology centres around a simulation of the microcontroller which allows students to clearly see the effects on the chip and internal variables and registers as each line of C code executes. Once students have understood the basics they carry out a series of labs using the Integrated Development Environment and compiler provided, to help build on their understanding. Tests and exercises to reinforce learning are provided. Once the students have build sufficient expertise in C programming they are able to use the software tools supplied on the CD for a wide range of projects.  This product is designed to work seamlessly with our PICmicro MCU Multiprogrammer and development board, but will also operate with third party programmers. The compiler on this product is for educational use only. Those wanting to produce commercial products using the compiler will not need to purchase a commercial licence for the C compiler included on the CD ROM.
