This auction is for an author-printed collection of reproductions of catalog images of American lathes dating from 1800-1960.  It is bound by staples and is over half an inch thick. Does not have page #s. The last page includes a list of sources of this material, primarily old trade catalogs and journals, including old issues of Scientific American, Carpentry & Building, The Wood-Worker, Popular Mechanics, etc. He also mentions going through dozens of antique trade manuals. The item to the right of the catalog is a collection of pages from the same person about other types of wood working machines. Also included for some reason is a large copy of a photo from 1893 showing "Chicago Day" at the Worlds' Columbian Exposition in Chicago (this is not shown in photo). The photo is of a large crowd standing in front of some palatial monumental white buildings.
