Vibrant Autumn leaves inspired a Pilot researcher to capture the same dynamic color change in a test tube. A special formulation that would vividly change color at different temperatures was developed. The unique color-changing technology was initially used to create children's toys. Several years later, another Pilot researcher modified the formulation to create disappearing ink?and FriXion erasable gel ink pens were born! Erasing that works! Note: FriXion erasable gel ink pens & highlighters are not recommended on legal documents. If pen is exposed to temperatures above 140 degrees Fahrenheit, the ink will be colorless when writing.
