Micropipette set, calibrated, with Calibration Reports. BioExpress P10, P200, and P1000, and Finnpipette 5-40 ul. The P10 does not have an ejector. As shown in the photos, the BioExpress micropipettes are discolored. This set covers the entire range from 0.5ul to 1ml. Cleaned, repaired, and calibrated. The micropipettes I sell are used and may have scratches, dings, discoloration, engraved initials, tape residue, or other signs of use. New pipetman retail for $325 each plus shipping. In addition to over 22 years of lab experience using micropipettes, I have nine years of experience cleaning, repairing, and calibrating hundreds of them a year as a side business. I get micropipettes from many sources. At least 75% of those I buy on Ebay are out of calibration specifications, with around 25% needing major repair or even retirement. If you buy used micropipettes that have not been calibrated, take into consideration that you will have to pay $40 to $60 each for calibration (plus parts). These have been checked for radioactive contamination, then disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. Parts are replaced if needed. Most have new O-ring and seal, many have new friction rings, some have other new parts. They are then reassembled and vacuum checked to be sure they do not leak. I calibrate them on a Sartorius 5-place balance on a floating nitrogen table in a climate and draft controlled room. I use Pipette Tracker calibration software that accounts for temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity. Anything less than this is not adequate for volumes less than 50ul. I supply a calibration report stating the dispensing volumes, accuracy, and precision after repair. If you would like to know the actual accuracy and precision before ordering and cannot make it out in the photos, just ask. Note that operator differences (angle, depth, speed, etc.), tip differences, environmental differences, etc. will mean your measured volumes will be slightly different than mine.
