Manual folding can be a time-consuming process. With the OfficeRight™ DF100 Folder, you can insert up to 3 pages at once and your letters and documents will come out folded perfectly and crisply every time. What kinds of paper will the DF100 fold? The DF100 is set up to handle both standard, letter size paper (8 1/2 " x 11") and A-4 paper. Which way should the paper face when inserted into the DF100? Insert the paper top up and with the writing facing away from you. This will ensure the correct orientation when inserted into the envelope. Can the DF100 fold stapled documents? Yes. Stapled pages may be used in the folder. However, do not place staples at the fold positions (approximately 1/3 of the distance from the top and bottom of the sheet). Stapled end of paper must enter machine first. What if paper jams in the folder? Fixing a paper jam is easy. First, unplug the folder. From the bottom of the folder, remove the paper stop by gently flexing it in the middle and withdrawing one end first. Remove the dejamming handle by turning it in either direction while pulling out gently. Insert the dejamming handle through the hold in the folder cover onto the D-shaped shaft inside the unit. Turn the handle in either direction while carefully pulling the paper out the top or bottom of the folder. If unable to clear the jam, follow disassembly instructions. After the jam has been cleared, return the dejamming handle and paper stop to their normal positions. Plug in the folder. How do I change the paper setting? The folder is shipped with the paper stop (fold) setting set for 8-1/2" x 11" paper. To use A4 paper, the paper stop must be changed. When viewing the bottom of the folder, the top pair of slots is for the paper stop setting for 8-1/2” x 11” paper; the bottom pair of slots is the setting for A4 paper. To switch to the A-4 setting, start by unplugging the folder. Next, remove paper stop by gently flexing it in the middle and withdrawing one end at a time. Insert the paper stop into the other pair of slots by gently flexing it and inserting one end at a time. Plug the folder back in and you’re ready top go.
