Pitsco Six-Channel R/C Controller with Receiver Item Description The Pitsco 34243 Futaba Six-Channel R/C Controller with Receiver is a 2.4GHz radio-control system with Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrum Technology (FASST) that continuously shifts frequencies to eliminate signal interference and is for use by students in grades 6-12 building robotics projects. The transmitter provides servo reversing on all six of its channels to accommodate a variety of robot designs, and its end point adjustment settings allow students to set the maximum distance the servos can rotate in either direction. The transmitter allows electronic servo mixing that joins the responses of servos so they can operate together or in opposition for concurrent servo movements. Exponential settings allow students to adjust the control stick movement so that servos respond with exponential rather than proportional movement to decrease stick motion. A unique ID code connects the transmitter and receiver to ensure a dependable link. The receiver's operating range is 4.8V to 6V, and it has two antennas to receive signals from the transmitter, reducing the possibility of signal loss. The adjustable control stick length makes the transmitter more comfortable to operate. A radio-control system can be used in an educational setting to control a robot or radio-controlled model such as a vehicle or airplane, among other applications. The Futaba 6EX system includes a transmitter, a 9.6V NiCD battery, a battery charger, a receiver, a switch harness, a neck strap, and instructions. Servos and receiver batteries are sold separately.
