For this reason, the item is not guaranteed and is being sold as is. The controller powers up as does the freezer. Controller displays "Planar Bio-Med MR3." The current date needs to be programmed into the unit, as it shows an incorrect date. The display shows: "MVR 1.03" "SVR 1.07" The controller then displays "SELECT MODE" "RUN," "PROGRAM," "PRINT" When the freezer is powered on the something spins inside the unit. There are wells on the top of the freezer unit for (16) samples, and there are sample holders that drop into the unit. This unit is missing one of the sample holders - only (15) of them. There is about a 4" thermocouple attached to a wire that comes from the sample port in the back of the freezer unit that can be inserted into each sample well to test for temperature. There is a fuse slot in the rear of the controller. I observed that there is no fuse present, there. No other testing done, sorry.
