You are buying a 2 feet total length (1 envelope of 2' continuous) of laboratory/scientific quality .002" diameter wire made from an alloy of 80% Platinum and 20% Iridium produced by California Fine Wire Company. This wire is often used in Semiconductor/IC, Aerospace, Test, Medical and Electronics industries due to its high performance electrical characteristics.  This is not jewelry wire, nor should it be purchased for its scrap value.  The wire is about as fine as human hair, so weighs almost nothing.
