This aluminum report holder is the Model 906 Portable Desk manufactured by New England Business in Groton, MA. It is in used but better than new condition. Here's why: this item was modified with the addition of TWO alligator clips. The large clip on the outside front holds the current report in place while you write. The inside clip keeps the unused blank forms secure so they don't rattle around. In addition, I rounded all the sharp edges so there's no binding when opening and closing. Completed reports are stored in the well and secured by the arm. It measures 15.75 inches long, 9 inches wide, 1 inch deep, so it will hold all the forms you need while in the field, legal size and smaller. I used this while on patrol long before sticky velcro was invented, so I sewed 4" X 2" velcro strips on the back so it would stay on my gear bag on the passenger seat (my 'office,' the cops out west call it their 'shop'). I removed the velcro when I made Investigator and now black tape covers the holes. This is the ideal report holder for uniform or plainclothes duty, and since I'm retired, I'd like to see some young gun or seasoned veteran put it to good use. No reserve, so have fun.
