It is built on the same platform as the higher priced HDX 7000 and 8000 Series products. There are some limits to its connectivity options but they do not matter to most users. This HDX 6000 comes with the EagleEye 1080 camera MPTZ-7 (Pan-Tilt-Zoom). The EagleEye 1080 camera originally sold for over $6,000 by itself. It requires and includes a power supply which some do not like in their installation. The MPTZ-6, 8, and 9 models do not require a power supply because the system powers the unit directly. However the MPTZ-6 is only 720p which is why Polycom made the MPTZ-7; it is 1080p. The HDX 6000 Series includes People+Content IP to allow users to present material direct from their laptop or PC.
