PolyScience 9100 Recirculating Chiller, Refrigerated Circulator   For sale- a PolyScience 9100 Recirculating Chiller, Refrigerated Circulator, whatever you want to call it.  This thing is in very good physical condition, and it powers up after I figured out there was a float valve interlock.  Refrigeration section works fine as does the heater.  So I was all set to proclaim it functional until I tried to change the temperature set point.  If I am interpreting the front panel correctly it looks like you should be able to hold down on the switch on the left and then push in and dial in the temperature you would like it to cool to.   So I played with it for awhile and accomplished nothing.  Could easily be a case of operator error, as I do not have a manual for it.  Could be that it just needs water in it which I didn’t bother with because I didn’t have any way to loop the out flow back into the in flow.  And perhaps you can just use it as is, it is set on 10.5 presumably degrees C.  Out of an abundance of caution I am offering it for parts or repair only, and no returns will be accepted.   In my experience with this type of product they often don’t work by the time they get to surplus, and usually the culprit is the compressor, they don’t cool.  This one cools great, you can see the frost formed on the sides in the picture of the water cavity.  Does not include a cover for the reservoir, but I may have one from a different brand that might fit.   Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment.  Check back often!   Sold as is, as described, as pictured.  Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.  Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.  If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.  Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.   You are also encouraged to visit my “ME” page, where my terms, conditions, and philosophy of doing business are outlined.  I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction.   Payment is expected within 7 days of the close of the sale and I need to hear from you within 3 days to confirm the transaction.  Because of the weight and/or bulk of the item I have chosen to let ebay’s shipping calculator figure out the cost based on your zip code.  Alternatively I would be happy to ship it charged to your Fedex account.  I will under NO circumstances ship it UPS, the people there don’t seem to be smart enough to handle a shipment charged to the recipients account, nor do they appear to be smart enough to correct their mistake after the fact.   With increasing frequency the ebay shipping calculator seems to be incapable of actually “calculating”, instead it prefers to tell you that the zip code you have entered is invalid.  Unless/Until they can fix it the only thing I can do is to plug my zip, your zip, the weight and dimensions in at fedex.com to arrive at a shipping cost for your particular shipment.  So if ebay isn’t providing a shipping cost automatically, you can always go to fedex.com and estimate it yourself.  It would be shipping from a fedex terminal in 22902.   PLEASE NOTE: the government agency that sent this to surplus has deemed it to be export controlled, so not only will I NOT ship it internationally, if you are buying it to refurbish and resell you would need to find a domestic US buyer for it only.  I will need a written confirmation that you understand it is not for export (no matter how ridiculous that might seem) before I can ship it.
