Carlow. The Portasol SPT-8 SuperPro features a long lasting Nickel and Iron plated tip with a dual flat soldering surface, and an in-built heater with a catalyst burner within the tip. Portasol has been a leader in gas soldering irons since introducing the 'Technic' in 1984. Quality is the cornerstone of Portasol technology, with products being tested for two weeks before they leave the factory to ensure reliable ignition and adjustable temperature control. This tool boasts a larger tip for heavy gauge wires and a temperature range up to 580 degrees celsius (1,076 degrees Fahrenheit). The products are made in Ireland, and all plastic and metal parts are manufactured in the company's plant in Co. Additionally, all Portasol products are manufactured in Ireland under ISO 9001:2000 standards. This soldering tip is designed for use with the SuperPro 125 Soldering Iron and has a diameter of 4.8mm.
