When you do not use the power adapter as the input,you also can direclty input the voltage from VIN termimal to enable the chip producing a negative voltage. LM2596 chip can be controled on and off by the CTR pord,when CTR input high level,the chip will start, and the VOUT-end will get-12V;when CTR vacant input low,the chip will close. If not control,CTR can be directly connected to VIN and get hight level together,you can use jumper cap shorted VIN and CTR,do not exceed 25V CTR high level. VIN input voltage range is 5-35V.
