You are considering a Powermatic Model 72 Tilting Arbor Table Saw. This saw is used but is in good overall condition for its age. We have run this saw here and found that it had a bit of a whine coming from the arbor. We have installed new NTN bearings in the arbor and installed new drive belts as well, which fixed the whine problem. The saw runs strong. It does have normal wear, scratches, etc. on the table and body from use. The tilt and saw height adjustment work as they should. The only issues we have found with this saw are: The fence gauge does not "zero out" when pushed all the way to the edge of the blade. It is approximately 1-1/4" off. It has a 3/4" rub board mounted to the side of the fence, but it would still be out of adjustment even with the board removed. The only adjustment that we know of is the pointer that indicates where it should be, but it does not have enough adjustment to compensate for the discrepancy. Someone with more knowledge than we have about setting up fences may me able to adjust the fence properly. The included miter guide is in poor shape (see pictures). It can only be angled to one side because the opposite side has been broken off. This guide is a Craftsman brand. You should be able to pick up a new miter guide from Craftsman, Grizzly, Powermatic, etc. As long as it fits the slot, they are pretty universal. DESCRIPTION: Mfg. They are all used and we would rate them in fair usable condition. The only one we've tested is the one installed. It seemed to cut OK on a 2 X 4 oak board we had laying around.
