This is used Powerstat (made by Superior Electric) model 3TF116B variable autotransformer, also known as a variac. It is rated at 10 amp, 120 volt input and 0-to-140 volt output. The input and output has 3 prong plugs, but one need to realize variacs output are not isolated from the input. I tried it out, and it worked as expected. As seen in the pictures, there is a spot of missing paint near the switch and some scratches, but otherwise the case is in good condition.
