These are two pieces of farm animal / veterinary related paper booklets. The first is a booklet titled, Slaughtering, Cutting, and processing Lamb and Mutton on the Farm...Farmers' Bulletin No 2152..published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture circa 1960...16 pages...center pages have become loose and this was in the damp at one time which stained and mildewed the pages, some which had stuck together but are loose now...generally poor condition but might have content worth and also has a handwritten recipe included which looks like maybe for brining. The next booklet (also in poor condition at face value) is the really interesting one where it is basically a scrapbook of veterinary clippings pasted into a 1925 era fruit plants catalogue...pretty raggedy but every page is completely covered with these pasted in clippings which look like they were cut out from some type of veterinary publication or maybe just from a veterinary column in a newspaper. A few pages did stray back to clippings about fruits but the rest is cattle, horses, swine, goats, dogs, sheep, cats,.. Interesting paper items for the farm minded...both approximately 6" x 9".
