The moveable jaw delivers 1/2 pound of downward pressure for every pound of horizontal pressure. The vise body is made of high strength ductile iron. The base and bed are parallel to 0.002-Inch. Hardened vise bed and jaw plates. The 6-Inch wide jaw opens to a full 8-3/4-Inch. This top of the line vise also includes: thrust bearings for increased clamping force; a locking design that provides 1/2 lb. of vertical clamping pressure for every 1 lb. of horizontal pressure; replaceable smooth jaw plates made of hardened and ground tool steel; a coolant trough built-in; a removable 360-Degree swivel base (1-Degree graduations) can be fastened in place with two bolts.
