This is not a part or a meter! This is a REBUILD SERVICE FACT: 8 out of 10 old CDV-700s burn out after a short period of time! Anywhere between one minute and two weeks! Americans need meters that work WHEN WE NEED THEM! Not when we do not need them. Buy your meter, get it rebuilt and calibrated even if we don't do the job for you. These are a civil defense tools. Old dried out capacitors, HV diodes, etc. cannot handle the power spikes from the new Energizer / Duracell type batteries. Corrosion over due to age creates 'arching' like old spark plug wires. Heat & cold are another two CDV killers as well. Do you really want a meter that will let you down when you need it most? Take a mystery meter and turn it into the most important tool you own.
