The dressing also features ease of use, with a protector paper that allows for quick application without touching the absorbent pad or adhesive area with fingers or forceps. The packaging is also easy to open and facilitates aseptic dressing technique. The thick pad of the dressing helps minimize fluid strike-through and protects the wound from trauma, ultimately improving patient comfort. Features of the dressing include a soft, breathable cover, a low allergy adhesive, a low adherent pad, and conformability. The Primapore Type Post Operative Wound Dressing, also known as SURGIFILM, is a transparent wound dressing measuring 10 cm x 20 cm and sold in packs of 100. Benefits of using the Primapore Type Post Operative Wound Dressing include a highly absorbent and low-adherent pad that allows blood or exudate to pass through and maintain a good healing environment while minimizing pain upon removal.
