This listing is for this Shaker Style Primitive Chalkboard. It was made with a re-purposed glass cabinet door frame that was not needed on a project here in our shop. We decided to make a chalkboard out of it. The back of the frame has 2 holes cut out for hinges which does not harm the frame in any way. We will list 4 of them in various sizes this weekend with discounted prices off our normal rates! Free shipping in lower 48 states! AK HI PR please add $19.00 for shipping. This chalkboard can be hung either vertical or horizontally (see pics 1 & 2 ). Key holes are cut in the back on 2 sides so this is possible. The frame size is 11" x 29". The frame was made using shaker style mortise and tendon router bits. This gives the frame superior strength. It left a shaker like bevel on the inside of the frame. High quality Poplar lumber was used. We painted the frame with Old Century Paints. It was distressed and finished with Olde Century Antiquing Liquid which seals and protects the piece while giving it a beautiful patina. The chalkboard is new and is NON magnetic. We manufacture the chalkboards ourselves. They are very smooth and durable. We may ship USPS Priority Mail or UPS whichever is more economical.
