Printa 990 Pad & Screen UV Unit A compact dual function exposure device Printa 990 pressure pad UV exposure unitThe Printa 990 pad and screen printing systems are supplied with a dual purpose pressure pad UV exposure unit. This compact uv exposure unit can be used to expose water washable pad printing polymer plate and also to expose direct or indirect emulsion used to coat screens. The Printa 990 exposure unit is fitted with a digital timer display and a touch membrane timer control that allows the exposure time to be selected and also starts the exposure cycle. When the exposure is completed the digital display returns to the selected exposure time to show that the cycle has finished. Printa 990 UV unit printing plate cassetteA small cassette system is used to load the printing plate into the exposure unit. The cassette has a piece of foam onto which the plate and artwork are placed, and a sheet of glass which presses the two items against each other is then fastened in place. Once this has been done, the cassette is then placed inside the exposure unit. The same cassette is used to hold and expose the small format screens used with the Printa 990 cylindrical and flat screen printing system. The ability to expose both pad printing polymer plate and screens makes the Printa 990 exposure unit a very versatile and highly compact product.
