Progressive Electronics has been manufacturing inductive amplifiers since 1972 and the 200FP Inductive Amplifier is the crown jewel of the line. Any technician who has ever worked around powered lines and equipment will instantly see the value of this filter probe. Tone signals that were lost in a sea of hissing and buzzing AC interference will become crystal clear. With three types of noise filtration, the 200FP virtually eliminates power related noise from the tone and probe operation. By selectively filtering out all 60Hz and 60Hz harmonics, this inductive amplifier can be used with any tone generator for faster and more accurate cable and wire identification. The amplifier features slim, comfortable design for use in limited space areas, a powerful rear-fire speaker, recessed on/off push button control that conserves battery life and an adjustable sensitivity/volume control to increase accuracy. Selectable normal/filter operation composite tip reduces the risk of shorting terminals. The device is powered with one 9V battery (nominal life 50 hrs). Probe tip resistance is 300 ohms (minimum). The amplifier also features a 35dB gain. Input impedance is 100M ohms.
