PVC Rectagular Bar Type 11" x 1-1/2" x 5-7/8" long PVC (polyvinyl chloride) Type 1 is the most commonly used PVC type and has a wide array of applications. Often used for tanks, pipes, and in chemical-processing applications, PVC resists acids and alkalies.  It is corrosion resistant, has strong structural integrity, and heat resistance (up to 158 F), making it an excellent replacement for metals in wet environments or chemical plants where metal corrosion is an issue.
