Unlike push in mesh screens, these PVC vent screens have a high quality 6061 aluminum outer shell and will not scrape and gouge your PVC vent hub. The screen mesh is made from 304 stainless steel and can’t be chewed by animals like they can do with plastic. The PVS-IS2-2 PVC vent screen set for furnaces and hot water heaters also include four internal wire clips for an installation that takes less than thirty seconds. No caulk, screws or any other damaging fasteners are needed. This is the only PVC vent screen on the market designed to protect against bugs. Especially in late summer, when bees and wasps are looking for a warm home to survive during winter, you definitely want to have these installed.
