Pyro-Magnestir. A device used in scientific laboratories to warm and heat liquids, referred to as a hotplate stirrer. Labline, Inc., Chicago, Illinois. Model No. 1279. Made in the USA. Not dated.  The device works.  The Speed Increase knob on the front gradually speeds up the fan inside.  The Temperature Increase knob gradually heats up the top plate. The red Heat Light illuminates. 8 1/2 inches wide / 8 1/2 inches deep / 7 3/4 inches tall. This one needs to be refurbished before it can be used.  The electrical cord, for one thing, is unsafe. A search of the internet brought up several firms with the name LabLine or Lab-Line, though they are located overseas.  There are few of these devices on the market, including ebay.
