Pyro Optical Photoscreenic Wedge Type Pyrometer. Pre-WWII. Fresh Battery WORKS! What is completely awesome about this pyrometer is that it is one of the few ftrom this era that you will ever find in working order! Mostly this is because the EverReady 703 4.5 volt battery ceased production decades ago. After some frantic research, I found another company making these batteries at suitably high prices. So I bought one and - voila - it works! When I say "works" I mean that the power meter needle jumps as it should and when you look in the eyepiece and press the button, the dot shows up in the viewfinder. Unfortunately, I don't have a blast-furnace, rocket engine or access to the fiery pits of Hades on which to test it. But if the electronics work, there's not too much else to go wrong. Hint: Makes a great prop for an old sci-fi movie. Think "Outer Limits" and "Twilight Zone." See the condition notes above. See photos for full disclosure.
