Each bid quantity is for One (1) Set including Chuck, Spindle, and Little Wrench that Doesn't Fit Anything. You may bid / buy any number, up to the total quantity available above. This item was acquired in a plain corrugated box at a salvage freight sale recently, and that is about all we know about them. They are brand new, and they are very well made, but there is not a part number or identification mark anywhere on them. These would probably cost plenty if you knew what to ask for at the parts desk. They would be ideal for quickly changing various tooling from one machine to another, as long as your machines and tooling all have 3/8-24 threads. The main chuck assembly has 3/8-24 right hand threads on one end, and a 7/16" locking hex receptacle on the other. The collar of the chuck must be pulled forward (toward the hex opening) before the spindle can be inserted or removed. The zinc plated spindle will either lock into the hex end of the chuck, or it can screw into the threaded end. What versatility! By simply adding and subtracting pieces, you can adjust the length in approximately 2" increments. Just a foot or two would make a great conversation piece for you desk, and it would keep the kids busy for hours. Or if you buy early, we can sell you just about enough length to make the proverbial "ten foot pole."
