The automated applicator eliminates unpredictability, reduces the time required for a prep, and ensures optimal trace quality. The Quik-Prep electrodes are specifically designed to hold up, and hold on, during heavy perspiration, excessive patient movement, and leadwire tugging. The Quik-Prep system consists of disposable, self-prepping electrodes and an electronic applicator system. The technician centers the applicator over the electrode and by pressing the button, spins the center of the electrode, prepping the skin. When the applicator’s micro-electronic circuitry measures optimal impedance, a ready light indicates the prep is complete. The entire process takes less than three seconds.
