This Kendro Sorvall RC-28S Superspeed Refrigerated Centrifuge w/ SM-24 Rotor to be in good cosmetic condition with several signs of wear and previous use. It powered on as shown, but I could not get it to recognize the rotor. I tried several times. It was getting cold in the chamber and the other functions appear to work. I tried two different rotors and came up with the error message shown in the photos. Also, it looks like the emergency open wire is broken and hanging on the side of the unit. It will require a new plug be attached. However, I really lack the knowledge and equipment to test it further, so due to little testing and rotor function, it is being sold as-is for parts or repair.
