RADISYS SP-6040 COMPACTPCI A member of the SPIRIT-6000 family, the SP6040 includes the following features: • Four TMS320C6201 Digital Signal Processors (C6201), that provide up to 1600 MIPS. • A hot-swappable, 32-bit CompactPCI interface on the J1 CompactPCI connector1. • A DEC/Intel 21554 PCI-PCI bridge. The 21554 PCI-PCI Bridge serves as the SP6040’s CompactPCI interface and provides address translation between the CompactPCI host and on-board PCI devices. • An Intel i960RD that serves as I/O processor (IOP). The i960RD (66 MHz core) serves as the IOP, with 33MHz local and PCI bus interfaces. • A hot-swappable, ECTF H.110 compliant, TDM bus interface on the J4 CompactPCI connector2. • H.110 TDM Bus Interface and Time Slot Interchanger (Lucent T8105 TDM Switch). This device provides high-performance routing of telecom data between the DSP, the option module connector, and the H.110 TDM bus. • An audio monitor, accessible via an on-board header. You can configure this resource to connect either directly to a C6201 serial port or to the H.110 TDM Switch, to allow drop/insert capability for any selected TDM slot. • A PMC socket3, with additional pin-outs (via PMC J13/J14) that support optional RadiSys Dual/Quad E1/T1/LAN-HDLC or PMC-4(2)T1/E1 LAN option modules. The SP6040 is available in these configurations: Mechanical information The SP6040 occupies a single 6U CompactPCI slot. 6U boards are 233.35 mm (6U) x 160.0 mm (9.19" x 6.29"). The sum of the component height and warpage is less than or equal to 13.71 mm (0.54") from the component side of an ideal (no warpage) board, and 1.52 mm (0.060") from the solder side. The SP6040 occupies a single CompactPCI option slot with or without a compliant PCI Mezzanine card mounted on the module.
