RADTriage Radiation Detector Dosimeter Click to view supersized image RADTriage™ Radiation Detector  Dosimeter for Dirty Bomb or Nuclear Accident   Credit card size 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" RADTriage has been developed for use by: • First responders (i.e., Fire, Police, and Medical Personnel) • Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and National Guard) • Those who live near nuclear power plants • General public who live in cities at high risk of terrorist attacks and/or those worried about radiation exposure RADTriageTM,   is a user-friendly, stockpileable, always ready without a power source, disposable radiation dosimeter for monitoring high doses (roughly 20 - 10,000 mSv) of ionizing radiation. Approximately the size and thickness of a credit card, the device can be worn around the neck like an ID badge, clipped to a shirt pocket or carried in a wallet. When exposed to radiation from a “dirty bomb”, nuclear detonation or a radiation source, the sensing strip of SIRAD instantly develops a permanent/irreversible color change which is cumulative and proportional to dose.  RADTriageTM allows the individual to immediately self-assess the dose to which they may be subjected. It provides the wearer and medical personnel instantaneous and accurate information on radiation exposure to assess the health risks to the victim and to guide treatment.     Click here to view the RadTriage Owners Manual and Frequently asked Questions   Due to current regulations we cannot sell or ship to Japan     What is a radiation Dosimeter and what does it tell you? Because Ionizing radiation, such as X-rays, alpha rays, beta rays, and gamma rays, remains undetectable by the senses,  and the damage it causes to the body is cumulative, related to the total dose received. So we need to use a dosimeter to tell us how much radiation was absorbed so we can understand what impact that may have on our body and whether we need to seek medical treatment. It helps verify your dosage of radiation so a medical professional can better help you. Radiation sickness and Symptoms   Radiation sickness is damage to your body caused by a very large dose of radiation often received over a short period of time (acute). The amount of radiation absorbed by the body — the absorbed dose — determines how sick you'll be. The risk of cancer depends on the dose and begins to build up even with very low doses. There is no "minimum threshold." Radiation sickness is also called acute radiation sickness, acute radiation syndrome or radiation poisoning. Common exposures to low-dose radiation, such as X-ray or CT examinations, do not cause radiation sickness. Early Symptoms Nausea and vomiting ,Diarrhea ,Headache   ,Fever  Later Symptoms Dizziness and disorientation ,Weakness, fatigue   , Hair loss, bloody vomit and stools, infections, poor wound healing, low blood pressure       **These are newly manufactured and have a expiration 1 year from now. These are stored in freezer until purchased and that can extend its lifespan up to 5 years if you place this in a freezer until needed after you receive it. If you keep it out of a freezer it will have about a 1 yr lifespan.**       Get Yours Today !
