Made from what could be railroad or overhead crane rail.  This anvil was handmade by Me. I found a print on the www. and I believe the rail to be 175# CRANE, what ever that is! I do not know if rail chemical properties are the same as print. See print in pictures. 13 1/2 inches long and 6 inches tall.  Top of anvil is 4 inches wide.  Base is 6 inches wide & 9 inches long with 4 mounting holes.  Web is 1 1/2 inches thick.  Approx  45 lbs.  See pictures for best description.  Picture of anvil being milled is not the anvil offered in auction and is for observation purposes only. Most massive piece of rail I have ever seen. Print of rail are the dimensions before I milled top and sides. I have more anvils, none larger, but some same height only thinner and several smaller sizes (some so small they might be considered paper weights) and machine shop related items .  See my other listings!!!  New things added about every week. Great gift for someone retiring from coal mines or railroad.  Auction is for the one anvil pictured and described above.  Anvil is sold "as is". Something with no moving parts and designed to be beat on with a hammer doesn't need a warranty! In pyramid of Anvils, this anvil is the bottom one. Anvils in the background will be listed soon.  I am unsure of the best shipping method. Buyer pays actual shipping cost, according to my research will be around $55, depending on how far from me you live! Get shipping estimates based on 47 lb.
