Raku "Second" Pottery Cup Pencil Holder by Amy Klein   This is a 'second'. A piece not considered to be perfect. There may be small imperfections, please look at the pictures closely. Raku is a wild process that creates nothing but imperfections but that are generally considered beautiful. But for example on this one there is a thick 'build up' on on side.    This is Raku. I technique of firing pottery that brings all kinds of unplanned colors and variations. It is not food safe and should not be used for holding liquids regardless.  They would be wonderful for holding pencils, pens, dried flowers or just on their own.    This is made by Amy Klein, a potter working out of NYC. She wanted to throw these away as they were not up to her specs. I knew someone might love to have these at a much lower price. I think they are wonderful.
