This is a rare item that can either be used for duty as a Level II retention holster or a police collector / historian display piece. This Safarilaminate plain black leather holster is for the left handed shooter and is a mid ride model for a Sig P 226 DAO featuring: Level II Retention with wraparound thumb break and internal trigger guard lock Constructed of thermal molded safariLaminate materials and fully lined with safariSuede to protect the gun's finish Mid-Ride, straight drop cant for quick easy draw and familiar feel Now, the unusual part.  This is a prototype from Safariland that is stamped such.  The final version for commercial release was actually slightly different.  Thus, this is truly unique & possibly only one of a few that were produced. This was never used and never issued.   Retail price on this holster (not the prototype) is $202.00
