Heavy (just under 12 lbs.) and thick-walled grey-colored stoneware vessel manufactured for farm use to hold mineral/salt block for cows to lick for balanced nutrition. Designed to hang flat against a wall. Two holes in back for mounting on manger wall. Has two ridges running around inside of vessel. Was used on an Wisconsin farm. Printed in blue on front: Ideal Salt Feeder, Mfd. By Ideal Feeder Co., Morriston, Minn. Makes a great planter! Use a potted plant or add gravel to bottom. No holes in bottom. Wonderful addition to your country garden or potting shed! Could be hung on a sturdy wall or fence. In very good condition.
