This allows it to be safely used on PVC piping without fear of pipe (or heating cable) damage even without a thermostat. The ATV line preceded the BTV and the construction is similar. The 2 suffix means 240 volt and the CR means that is NOT suitable for chemical resistance. It measures 0.235" thick and 0.480" wide (less than 1/4" thick and about `1/2" wide). THIS CABLE IS IDEAL FOR SIMPLE DO-IT-YOURSELF (DIY) APPLICATIONS SINCE IT CAN BE CUT TO THE EXACT DESIRED LENGTH!!!!! After that, simply tape it to the pipe etc. and insulate.
