RBF Products Adjustable Scrap Wire Stripper * Up for sale is (1) RBF Products Adjustable Scrap Wire Stripper. * Condition = New * Made in the USA. * 6” scale in photos (not included) to show approximate size only. Includes all other parts in photos. * Heavy Duty 6061 T651 Aluminum and Steel Construction. * While salvaging out old machine tools, we accumulated a number of barrels of insulated copper wire and decided in order to get the most money out of it we needed to come up with an affordable, easy to use wire stripper. After we built this model we decided that there are others out there looking for the same thing. * Great way to get paid more for your scrap copper wire. Bare copper pays about 50% more per pound then insulated copper does. * Can be held in a vise or mounted to a wooden work bench with the stand-offs and screws provided. * Easily adjusts for different wire sizes. Just slide the wire into the knurled vee guide, adjust the blade down until it cuts just through the insulation and while keeping tension on the wire with your right hand to keep the wire centered on the vee, pull the wire through with your left. After pulled through, just grab the bare wire and pull it out of the insulated cover. Once set for that size wire just put your next piece in and pull. * Wire Size: Up to 5/8” diameter. * The smallest AWG wire size I have stripped so far is 24 stranded, but only because that is the smallest size I have. The unit is designed so that the blade will go all the way down to the point of the vee so smaller sizes could be cut. * Uses Standard 2 7/16” x 3/4” x .024” General Purpose Utility Blades.
