Integra 32 IRC-2000 Access Control System With 2 Readers, for 2 Doors Expandable by RBH Access Technologies Inc. BRAND NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX This item is an expandable Access Control system, complete with 2 door readers, brand new in the original box. Made by RBH Access Technologies, one of the leading access control system manufacturers. This is the latest in access control technology, specifically designed for businesses who have 1 or 2 doors which they wish to place Access Control onto.  The system can be expanded, by adding additional boards and additional readers, up to a maximum of 64 doors. Stop giving out keys to your office building (or apartment building, or even your house).  When you give out keys, you have no control over them being lost, or even worse, most keys can be easily duplicated at at any hardware or department store.  Even the high-security keys can be easily copied at a locksmith shop without your knowledge. By switching to an Access Control system, your staff members (or your tenants) simply present their Access Fob or Access Card (not included), at one of the outside doors that has a Reader on it.  If they are authorized to enter the premises through that door at that time, the door will automatically unlock for them.  If they are not permitted to enter via that door at that time, the Reader will beep a negative tone, and the LED on the Reader will turn red. Intuitive graphical interface allows users to take advantage of the power and features of Integra 32, without having to spend days in training. This is the same system that we use in our buildings, and which we sell to our customers that ask us for Access Control Systems.  We know this product is easy to install, easy to program, and easy to use. This item is a complete system, including the following: White Steel Panel Box (sometimes called a "can" in the security industry), size 14.5" x 12" Board inside the Panel, capable of operating and controlling up to 2 doors Power board inside the Panel, with illuminated LEDs Intergra 32 software on CD (Software runs on your PC) Installation and programming manuals 2 weatherproof RBH proximity readers, for use at up to 2 doors or 2 entries points into your building 1 year manufacturer warranty included FEATURES: Fully expandable to up to 64 doors Wires to a computer in your office, using RS232 port, or using an optional USB port (USB port not included) Operates even during a power failure, for up to 8 hours (requires a standard Alarm System battery, not included) Uses AWID-compatible Access Fobs or Access Cards (not included) to allow your team members to have keyless access to your building Your computer (not included) is used to program the Access Control System, to configure what doors (if any) automatically unlock at certain times, and which staff get access to which doors at what time. Terminating an employee ?  No worry, just log into the system and turn "off" their Access Fob or Access Card, and they can't get into the building any more. Employee lost their Access Fob or Access Card ?  No worry, just log into the system and set their Fob or Card to "lost or stolen", and then that device cannot be used to get into the building, until you turn it back to full functionality. Do you have cleaners that come into the building each evening ?  Program their Access Fob or Access Card to only work between 6 pm and midnight, as an example, and you are assured that somebody from the cleaning crew can't enter when they are not scheduled to be working. Do you have a part-timer who only works on Saturdays and Sundays ?  Program their Access Fob or Access Card to only work on weekends, and only work during their shift hours, plus or minus a half hour. CONNECTIONS: Run any 8-conductor Reader cable from the Panel, to each of your front door and back door (assuming those are the doors you wish to have Access Control on) Install a Reader outside of your front and back doors, connecting the cable on the back of the Reader, through the wall, and onto the 8-conductor cable that you have just installed Connect the other end of the Reader cable to the Panel, to one of the two READER terminals.  See the manual for color coding. Duplicate this process for the second door. Install an Electric Strike (not included) on the door frame for your front and back door Run a single-pair cable (or Alarm Quad cable) from the Panel to the Electric Strike Connect the Electric Strikes to the single-pair cable that you have run to each of the doors Connect the other end of the cable going to each of the Strikes, to the DOOR LOCK terminals on the Panel.  See manual for instructions Connect a standard 16-volt Alarm System power supply to this Access Control system, to provide its power Connect whatever power supplies the Electric Strikes require, through this Access Control system, so that the Electric Strike is powered only when you wish to have the door temporarily unlocked. OPTIONAL ABILITIES: Connect a "Door Phone" (provided by your telecom dealer) to the Access Control Panel, allowing you to have your guests press a button on the Door Phone, which then rings on certain telephones in the office.  When you answer the call, if you wish to have the guest enter the building, you press 99, or 6 (depending on your telecom dealer's requirement), and then the door will unlock allowing the guest to enter the building. Can also interface to an apartment building (or a multi-unit commercial building) Entry Phone.  Similar to the Door Phone above, a guest dials the tenant they wish to speak to on the Entry Phone (not included), then if the tenant wishes to let them in, they press 99, or 6 (depending on your telecom dealer's requirement), and then the door will unlock, allowing the guest to enter the building. Can also interface to "Request to Exit" buttons, if you plan on having your doors remain locked from both inside and outside (check local legal requirements for having doors locked from the inside) You could have your door BUZZ when the door is unlocked, giving your guests an audible signal showing that the door has been unlocked for them.  BUZZ can be provided via the Electric Strike (see Electric Strike vendor for options), or via a buzzer or pezio installed near the door. Manufacturer list price on this item is $1000.00 (cash and carry, not installed).  Get a great deal on this item, from Trumpet Systems, here on eBay ! PROGRAMMING AND INSTALLATION NOTES: To ensure that you are compliant with your insurance company's policies, it is recommended that the Electric Strikes (not included) be installed by a licensed locksmith.  Check with your insurance company if you are in doubt.  Installing the Electric Strikes yourself, may in some cases void your insurance policy. This Access Control system should be installed by someone with a good understanding of electronics and computers.  IE an alarm technician, an IT technician, or a Telecom technician. While the installation is easy if you clearly follow the instructions, if you have never installed an Access Control system before, you may not wish to do so, to ensure that your system behaves the way it is intended to behave.  You wouldn't want your doors to all automatically unlock at 2 AM, because you misread the instructions and accidentally programmed the system that way. It is recommended that the power supplies for the Access Control System, and for the Door Strikes, be fed from a UPS system (uninterrubtible power supply), which would absorb any surges or spikes coming down the power lines.  The UPS would also give additional battery back-up to your Access Control system, and would also allow your Door Strikes to operate during the event of a power failure. In some jurisdictions, and in some types of installations, your local building code may require that your Access Control system automatically unlocks your doors in the event of a power failure, if you are using "Request to Exit" buttons.  Local building codes may also require that your Access Control system automatically unlocks your doors in the event of a Fire Alarm (a cable going to your Fire Alarm panel, wired to the Access Control system, and then some programming in the Access Control system, can accommodate that requirement).  Check with your local building officials to be certain of any specific requirements in your community, or in your type of building. The included software is to be installed on your PC.  The software is compatible with all versions of Windows up to and including Windows 7.  The included software does not operate on Windows 8.
