RCA 6FW8 NOS NIB Twin Triode #20 Test Great! 1960s! The Best 6DJ8! SUPER RARE! We were fortunate to acquire 20 NOS NIB examples of RCA's improved version of the 6DJ8 - 6922 twin triode. We say "improved" because its emission reserve is greater that that of all other 6DJ8 types, owing to its 400 ma filament. Greater emission reserve means better bass articulation and faster transient response. The 6FW8 also exhibits lower levels of microphony than other 6DJ8 types.   This tube features a rectangular getter ring. Lot code:  "LV" The tube pictured is the tube being offered. All 6FW8s being offered are in excellent cosmetic condition! The 6FW8 is the rarest 6DJ8 type, with only a few per year offered on ebay. Apparently, RCA felt that the 6FW8 would compete with its recently introduced "Nuvistor" product line; therefore very few 6FW8s were made! For the above reasons, the 6FW8 is held in high regard by audiophiles and recordists, giving it the reputation of a "cult" tube. This tube was tested on our Hickok 539C. Section measurements are:  10000 & 9500. The minimum "good" reading for a 6FW8 is 7000. Shipping Details We will always combine orders for all buyers, domestic and international.
