This type of tube is consistently rated by audiophile at the top of the heap. They are definitely very sweet sounding. Most surveys put them in the top three of ALL TUBES! Very strong and well balanced and well matched! Most audiophiles say these d getter long black plates are the pinnacle of listening pleasure. I LOVE THEM. They deliver the bass like no other, and the mids are supremely hollow and detailed. Highs are akin to a good Telefunken. I really recommend these tubes. On my tester a B&K 747 tester: Below 55 = BAD 55-66 = ? 65 -100 = Good 100-120+ = NOS I PERSONALLY purchase, clean, identify, test, and stand behind every tube on this site. I have a small company.
