This is an exact 3D reproduction of a 36 week fetal specimen, printed 50% original size. This specimen is A HIGHLY UNUSUAL print, this is a pair of female conjoined twins (this is called a "Thoracopacus twin"), and this specimen was used as a teaching tool at a major medical school at the end of the century.. This was extracted from a high-resolution CT scan of a preserved instructional specimen used for teaching in the early 1900's.. the original specimen is over 100 years old! This reproduction has no additional paint, and is sold without additional finish to insure the visualization of the fine structures. The twins shared the lower abdomen and a set of legs had four lungs, but only one heart, and was probably not compatible with life. Amazing detail, wonderful specimen for teaching, education, or as an unusual work of art. Absolutely beautiful specimen, printed in 'Smoke'. Size: 147mm x 85mm x48mm Material: ABS plastic Print Resolution: 200 microns I specialize in 3d printed reproductions of fetal specimens, both whole and skeletal, for learning, teaching, biology/anatomy/anthropological instructional purposes, and as works of art. These are made from high resolution computer tomography (CT) scans of previously unknown specimens and are part of my personal collection, and have never been seen before.
