Wacker Neuson DF 16 rebar tier is the newest innovation in rebar tying devices. I have owned most of the rebar tying machines since the "U-Tier" and they all start off fine, but after a few uses you'll discover all sorts of flaws in their design. The "U-Tier" was especially bad, with weak batteries and a poor wire feed design meant you spent way more time fixing and adjusting than actually tying rebar. As an actual Concrete Man/Rod Buster, I can tell you with confidence that this is a great tool and will pay for itself quick. I have terrible lower back issues and as slow as I move I walk circles around anyone whether it's bar loops with quick pull tiers or standard wire reel and Kleins. I have owned this unit for a about 6 months and have used it on 2 jobs. The rebar clips come in 77 ct. strips, with 10 strips per box, 770 per box, and a new carton contains 10 boxes totaling 7,700 ties. I have used only 7-8 strips. So out of a carton of 7700 clips, I have used approximately 620 clips leaving over 7000 clips in the carton. I used it at a coal mine job in which the entire working area had a black surface due to the trucks hauling onsite. The area was constantly sprayed down due to eliminate dust. So this unit has slight staining on the yellow parts (as seen in actual pictures), but not real bad. This is caused from my work gloves, not dust. Also I would like you to be aware that this unit can tie up to #5 bars spliced or crossed. This is not mentioned on any specs for manufacturers or distributors website.
