The heater is completely different! 2/3/16: Since the middle of last winter I’ve sold over 60 of these safety control units, as I am a long time service technician on the heaters this was made for since 1982. Buying an individual’s (non-professional) unit that has been out of the package is very different from someone that had these ordered years ago in bulk manner as I have. It’s been found that some of those “other” heater safety switches were store returns as in the past; this has been the single most mis-diagnosed part of the heater. Some of those were non-functioning as I found out when the purchasers were unlucky elsewhere in returning them and then purchased from me to get the heater up and running. To date, not one customer has had any complaints on my OEM - U S made factory service control units. Also I am still basically one of the very few that still has these in stock, all online searches has proven that the item is out of stock when it should say “no longer available”. (Very old heaters from the early 70’s did not have a case and were exposed and may have been epoxy sealed).
