The use of the AUTO mode allows a light sensor to detect the amount of light surrounding the unit; if your business has the lights off the controller will automatically turn off the lights and will turn on the SAVE MODE to reduce energy consumption. Automatic Defrost Cycle To avoid possible ice buildup on the evaporating coils, the temperature controller starts an automatic defrost cycle that will last 6 minutes per every 60 minutes the compressor works.
