Recently arrived to KIG (Keith Industrial Group, Inc.) is this Nice Advantage Air Cooled Chiller. This 1.5 hp unit has a brand new stainless process pump installed by us, an internal reservoir, and a brazed/plate heat exchanger. We will run and test this chiller extensively, as well as add new insulation. It can be used with water for standard manufacturing (in which case we will limit controller setpoint to 45°F), or it can be used with a 30% glycol mix for a lower temperature application like a brewery - in which case we will set it up with a 20°F minimum setpoint. This is an indoor chiller, designed to be in an indoor warehouse/facility environment. It is designed for closed loop flow. Please see the videos posted of its sister unit recently shipped out. Insulation will be installed on all internal piping Note: If we set this up for 28°F brewery/winery application, please understand that the effective cooling it will supply is about 50% of nominal. So, this 1.5 hp (ton) x 12,000 BTU's = 18,000 btu's nominal, which is about how much cooling will be supplied if you run a general industrial application at about 55°F setpoint. For a brewery application running at 28°F fluid temp, this will supply about 9,000 BTU's of cooling. This de-rating holds true for all chillers, albeit at different percentages depending on technician's opinion, as well as compressor type and quality of insulation supplied in chiller.
