RL78/G14 Demonstration Kit The Renesas Demonstration Kit (RDK) for RL78/G14 is an evaluation and demonstration tool for Renesas RL78/G14 microcontrollers and its partners. The goal is to provide the user with a powerful debug and demonstration platform targeted at common applications. To aid in the evaluation of the RL78 family of microcontrollers, included is 2 development environments : e2studio : Renesas eclipse embedded studio, known as e2studio, is a complete development and debug environment based on the popular Eclipse CDT project. Essentially open source, the Eclipse CDT covers build (editor, compiler and linker control) as well as debug phase based on an extended GDB interface. It supports GCC and IAR compiler The kit provides access, with no fee, to the e2 studio Integrated Solution Development Environment (ISDE) for Synergy MCU device and software configuration plus extensive code development and debugging using the Renesas Synergy Software Package (SSP). Also included is a GCC C-compiler at no fee. The S7G2 MCU has inherent features to support vibrant Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications and this kits supports GUI development with a WQVGA color LCD module with touchscreen, plus access to the GUIX™ Studio desktop design tool to create UI graphics and flow before compiling to the MCU target. Full access to S7G2 MCU connectivity features are supported such as dual Ethernet, USB-FS Host and Device, CAN and more. Multimedia interfaces are also supported such as VGA camera and a full-size SD card. All Renesas Synergy development kits come with an industry standard high speed SEGGER J-Link OB debugger as well as an integrated Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) module. * In order to activate and register the software components, this product needs Internet access.
