OMM / MI 12 provides legacy transmission method and has now been superseded by the OMI-2T and OMI-2T. The OMM-C / MI 120 variant allows for integration into the machine spindle nose. About OMM The OMM unit comprises an optical receiver that communicates with a spindle or turret mounted probe. Probe trigger and control signals are processed by the separate MI 12 interface, located in the machine tool control cabinet. About MI 12 The MI 12 replaces the earlier MI4 and MI7 interface units. MI 12 MI 12-B MI 12E The standard MI 12 unit is contained within a free standing enclosure with an optional panel mounting kit also available The MI 12-B is a board only version for mounting within the machine cabinet Designed for MP10E and MP700E high-power optical transmission probing systems on large machining centres and 5-axis machines.
