REOTEMP MS8PTAM2P19SS Process Pressure Gauge, Silicone-Filled, Stainless Steel 316 Wetted Parts, 4-1/2" Dial, 0-160 psi Range, 1% Accuracy, 1/2" Male NPT Connection, Bottom Mount Product Description The REOTEMP stainless steel all-welded process seal gauge has a lower mount male connection with 1/2" NPT rate, a circular 4.5" (115 mm) dial filled with inert gas, a solid front phenolic case, and measures with a single-scale (psi) with a display accuracy of + or - 1%. The stainless steel wetted parts provide corrosion resistance. The single-scale (psi) dial is aluminum with black figures on white background. The pointer is micrometer-adjustable for ease of calibration and made of black aluminum. The dial is filled with inert gas for oxygen service. The gauge has a durable phenolic case with a solid front and a safety blowout back for operator safety, and the tempered safety glass lens provides both strength and clarity. It is accurate to + or - 1% over the entire range of the gauge, or American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B40.100 Grade 1A accuracy class. The male connection is mounted on the bottom of the gauge and has a 1/2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) rate. The ambient temperature for the gauge is 0 to 150 degrees F (18 to 65 degrees C) and the process temperature is -30 to 450 degrees F (-34 to 232 degrees C). This pressure gauge is suitable for oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, water, wastewater, and power generation applications. Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to another reference. For instance, gauge pressure measures pressure relative to ambient air. An example of a pressure gauge measuring relative to ambient air is a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, such as an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to connect to the vessel where pressure is being measured, and display results on a dial with varying increments of measure across a given range. REOTEMP manufactures temperature and pressure measurement instruments, including bimetal thermometers, pressure gauges and transmitters, and resistance thermometers and thermocouples. The company, founded in 1965, is headquartered in San Diego, CA.
