This is a service for YOUR own scope. You are NOT buying a scope from me in this listing (read)... The photo is only used because ebay requires at least 1 photo in each listing, so I'm just showing a scope sitting on my cal equipment (it's not part of this sale). I am offering at $600 to repair & recalibrate your Tek 2400series scope regardless of what went wrong with it. The $600 fee covers any and all natural failures (excludes abuse or missing parts) on a 2465B, 2467B, or similar scope. Tek used to charge a similar flat fee back in the 1990s, but that flat rate grew to $4270 now, presumably to discourage repairs. I am not only a better price deal, but also faster in turnaround time, which here is rarely more than 1 day (Tek was/is much slower). As part of my flat fee I also replace some parts that aren't dead yet, like Li battery, which should be replaced anyway with age. Guaranty against recurrence of same problem(s) is 1 year. Return shipping is estimated based on a box 25" X 17" X 13", and ebay's calculator factors in only $100 of insurance.  Due to the high cost of international shipping, and taxes at borders, this offer extends only to US clients. If you need multiple scope fixed, I can offer a quantity discount. Since ebay grades me on on how fast I ship (thinking its an item I'm selling from my stock), and I can't ship until after your unit arrives (which may take a week), to keep my speediness grade up, I shall mark "shipped" a day after you pay (even though it's nonsensical). Please pack well before sending... scopes are delicate and all 3 usual carriers can be brutal... I will also pack well for its return to you. When you send a box, please notify me of its tracking #.  FAQ: Q: How much is just calibration (if no repair is needed) ? A: If no parts need to be replaced, just cal is $150. You may offer $150, but expect to pay the other $450 if parts are needed. Q: Does this offer also apply to DSOs like 2440 ?   A: Yes (but not to 2440M) Q: Do other scopes have dying Li batteries backing their NVRAMs ? A: Yes, all TDS scopes have them too. Some TDSs date back to 1994, so their original batteries can die anytime. Also in TDSs, the battery drains faster as it is also keeping a calendar clock running. Do not send me a TDS scope w/o consulting me first. Q: Is it worth fixing a 2465 (plain, no suffix)? A: some 2400s will be worth less than $600 even after sinking $600 into them. Decision is up to you, but sometimes I take the shortcut of substituting for you a newer 2465A or B within my $600 flat fee if yours is too geriatric, and I find it a more expedient route.
