Now with Banana plugs Easy put together R.F. probe, you can use your VTVM or LCD multimeter , measures from 200 MV to 40 volts R.F. up to 200 Mhz, If you make a mistake the parts are easy to replace, I use it every day to follow the progression of R.F. voltages, will measure crystal oscillators. VCO 's , anything R.F. buy now, I'm sure hp is looking carefully . Ha 3' shielded mini coax included, and all parts shown + 2 banana plugs. When put together , it will measure millivolts to 40 volts. Small In size, easy to hold in small places, skinny and flexible cable. The extra diode is in case you go over 40 VRF and need a replacement, The needle, is breakable, break to size for you, Needle end penetrates crud on oxidized points, reads aprox 1/2 rms RF voltage, depending on input resistance of volt meter. I have had this probe on my old Heath VTVM for years, If you need any spare parts just let me know, extra diode sent with kit , I have about 4000 of these tube cases and tops , please help. You will probably remember that I purchased your rf probe kit about a week ago. I finally got around to putting it together and using it on a 1960 vintage Collins 32S-1 transmitter that I had been trying unsuccessfully to troubleshoot off and on for some time with just a VTVM. All of the DC voltages were okay. Within five minutes of plugging your probe into the VTVM, I found the problem - the mechanical filter was bad. RF in, nothing out. Much like the transmitter you said you were working on. That little probe saved me considerable time and trouble at a reasonable cost. Having the right tools is essential.
